EAT SENSIBLE, EAT OFTEN, EAT SMART

Okay now, I want to see a show of hands.  Who out there has ever, or knows somebody who has tried a new diet?  After losing maybe ten to twenty pounds, you get sidetracked and the diet goes the by and by.  Here’s the part I find most interesting.  Within a short time, you regain the pounds you lost plus add five or ten extra as a door prize.

In this article I will show you two things.  The first is why you can’t keep the weight off and the second is something you can do about…

NAILS, A GIRLS BEST FRIEND

One has not truly experienced life until visiting a pawn shop. It is a cultural experience worth the time. The thing I found most striking on my first visit was the number of wedding rings in the glass case which also served as a counter. I can only imagine the heartaches behind each one of them.

When I was in junior and senior high school, every summer was spent working with my father. He was a licensed general contractor who did smaller jobs in a metropolitan area. Sometime during the… Continue

A CHRISTMAS STORY

I didn't write this but it did touch my heart and I thought you all might enjoy reading it.

THE DIME

Bobby was getting cold sitting out in his back yard in the snow. Bobby didn't wear boots; he didn't like them and anyway he didn't own any. The thin sneakers he wore had a few holes in them and they did a poor job of keeping out the cold. Bobby had been in his backyard for about an hour already. And, try as he might, he could not come up with an idea for his mother's… Continue

BEEN DRAGGIN'?

Now that the days are shorter, have you noticed having a harder time getting it cranked up in the morning? Do you feel like carrying a machete around so you can reach around and cut off the part that's dragging? Perhaps you feel like you were at a big party the night before but you can't remember being there.

Well, I've got good news for you. Are you aware that often times during the winter we feel really drowsy in the morning for the simple reason that your body temperature hasn't… Continue

Self Help Books - Who Do They Help?

Survival is an inherent human trait. If we are willing to accept this premise as truth, then what can be the reasoning for humans to seemingly be so intent on destroying themselves? The validity of this observation is made apparent each time a cigarette smoker lights…

Visit A Nursing Home

Tonight I watched a PBS special. It was a concert where rockers from the 60’s and 70’s were doing a reunion special. Some of these guys looked old. If we saw them on the street we would consider them to be old duffers.

As many of you know, I work…

The Promise

Jack Cole's left hand held a tight grip on the front of the man's shirt. In Cole's right hand was a Glock 45 Automatic, the hammer pulled back.

"You're about as smart as a bag of wet hair," Cole hissed.

"Nobody told me you had a book out," the man answered, his voice quivering slightly.

"You went and bought somebody else's book. Why is that?" Cole asked, his voice still reflecting his anger.

The man winced, fully expecting to hear the hammer drop.

"You…

have you daydreamed about being somebody other then who you

are? Have you ever given yourself a super power? When you answer,

be sure to include even the smallest item.

It's obvious you do enjoy Sci/fi after all. Sci/fi encompasses a very

broad…

Verifiable Evidence

Greetings to all of my friends. It's time for me to get serious about marketing Loren Douglas' latest detective story entitled, "Verifiable Evidence." As I'm sitting here typing this entry, I have my head phones on listening to Tanya Tucker "Greatest Hits, 1990 - 1992" album. She is sooo good. Call me a nut but I can listen to her by the hour. The same album.

I started a new blog. Everybody says to limit one's website to just one subject. I use a blog because it's so much easier.…

DayDreamin' Stories

Greetings,

I want to thank each of you for being here. I know there is so much to learn about marketing books and feel I have finally found the right place. I market the fictionaly works of Loren Douglas, a new writer in today's arena.

To introduce myself on the internet, I submit things to various article directories. I have fun with it and enjoy googling myself to see where all they go. My articles have been all over the map, from cooking sites to lawyers sites. I certainly…
