40th Book Published-Listen To Me Honey

My 40th book is a novella titled Listen To Me Honey found on Amazon and B&N in paperback and on ebooks on kindle, nook, and smashwords.

This book was written with children in mind in their early teens, but anyone could enjoy a look back at their visits to their rural grandparents in the summer. The book is written in large font for an easy read. I think the book will be a good choice even for elderly people who were raised on a farm. I’ve have several relatives in mind to give this book to as a gift.

Pleasant Valley is an area west of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas where my husband spent much of his childhood with his family and other relatives. After we married, we spent many of our vacations, visiting with relatives. I have wonderful memories of meals cooked on wood cook stoves. Waking up to the smells of homemade biscuits baking and bacon and eggs frying were almost as good as the meal itself. I can’t forget the white gravy that was slathered over the biscuits and eggs. I leaned more toward blackberry jelly on my biscuits. It’s strange that I really didn’t get the urge to eat gravy for breakfast since I was raised the say way as my husband on a farm in southern Missouri.

Tansy and Art’s farm was much like I remember my husband’s grandparents home and farm. They lived on Dye Branch and had a spring house. Pleasant Valley church was as I described it when we went to church there on Sunday mornings. I hope the readers like reading about Pleasant Valley as much as I enjoyed writing about it.
