Learn Something New!

When is the last time you tried something new? Learned something new? Felt excited about life?

Those all go together actually. We were designed to be ever learning and growing. It is in the expanding of our minds that we find the fresh breeze of happiness blowing over us. We were made in the image of God. God is creative! Think of all the beautiful things he made. Did he make one or two types of flowers? One or two types of trees? How many animals can you name? How many kinds of ocean creatures?

Then stop and think about people! All the lovely colors of skin, hair, and eyes! We are all the same- human- yet we are all unique! How creative is our God! He loves the details of each of us! His DNA is in each of us. He formed us with magisty in mind! We have in each of us the ability to learn and change, to create beauty and wonder!

You need to be learning to feel happy day to day. A bored mind is not a happy mind. Search the web, read a book, go on a walk and LOOK! You also need to create something daily! Write, cook, paint, sew, build a sand castle! Something to express yourself. People who are busy learning and creating have no time to be bored! My family has a saying, ” If you want a job done quickly, ask a busy person to do it!”. it really is true. Busy people are active. they are looking and reaching for the next goal. They will snap up another job and crank out the work because their minds are active and engaged. People with nothing to do are tired from the lack of mind movement! They sit, and sink into nothingness.

We were not designed to do that. Our ability to learn stays with us our whole lives. Our ability to create stays with us too. Get busy! The world is waiting for you! Hugs, Barbara
