I Dare You!
August 7th, 2008
Remember when you were a child, how you would dare each other to do crazy things? Sometimes you were frightened out of your whits, but you did not want to back down from a dare, so off you went! Well, I am going to dare you today. Let’s see if you are a scaredy cat now that you are grown!

I dare you to dream again! I dare you to actually dream of something you really want in this life, and then to go out and make that dream come true. As a matter of fact I double dog dare you! So take that! LOL!!

You know, many of us had big dreams as kids and teenagers. We wanted to make a difference in the world. We wanted our lives to amount to something- and not just money goals either. We wanted to be special, important, needed. We wanted to be the one that made a change in things. Somewhere along the way many of us got side-tracked. Life got in the way. Little by little we lost sight of those goals. The business of surviving got in the way of really living. Some dreams we laid down and let the dust cover. Other dreams just sort of slipped away , with-out us even realizing they had gone.

I want you to dream again. Maybe you will want to dust off an old dream, or maybe you need to dream a new dream. Either way I challenge you to dream big. Don’t piddle. People who piddle around never change a thing- they just make a lot of noise. Instead think long and hard about your role in this life. What do you need to accomplish before your life story is finished?

I saw a quote the other day. There was no source but I really loved it. It said, ” What would you try if you knew you could not fail?” It got me thinking. The difference between those who make a dream into reality, and those who only dream is in that thought. The people who make dreams come true refuse to fail. Failure is not an option for them. They just keep trying until they find a way.

I dare you to dream, and keep on dreaming until your dream is reality. I double dog dare you! Hugs, Barbara
