Falling Flat On Your Face
August 13th, 2008
Do you know what the difference is between those who fall flat on their faces and those who never do? Those who fall flat where actually trying to do something! I have done a lot of reading about successful people. The thing that stands out to me over and over is that they all fell flat many times. The things they wanted seemed out of reach. They did not have what they needed to reach their goals- or so it seemed. They failed a lot. Sometimes they failed so many times they lost count!

So why did they end up successful? They kept getting back up! It is not the falling that makes a loser. Losers are the ones who never try in the first place, or give up at the first hint of failure. Winners fall and fall and fall, BUT they also get back up, get back up, get back up! They keep getting back up until they stay up!

Which way are you going to live your life? Are you going to miss it sitting on the sideline afraid to fall? Are you going to try, fall, and quit? Or are you going to keep getting back up, and keep moving toward the goal? Are you going to win because you refuse to fail?

Get stubborn! We often think of that as a bad trait. It is only a bad trait if you are heading for a wrong goal. It is actually the thing you need if you are sure your goal is the one God has placed before you. If it is, keep at it. Let nothing scare you off. Don’t let failure burst your bubble.

If what you are doing is failing, find another way around the mountain, but get to the other side. Go to the left, go to the right, go over, or go right through but get to the other side of that mountain. Still can’t get there? Then you need to have more faith!

Where did I get a crazy idea like that????

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20

Can’t get around, over or through that mountain? Then move the mountain!! Hugs, Barbara
