Trees give us breath. They generate oxygen and clean our air. They cool our landscape and beautify our world. And yet almost 4 billion trees are cut down every year to be used for making paper goods. Fire and insects ravage millions more.
While we replant many of these trees, I think we can do better. Will you help?
For each ebook purchased from my page on the Cerridwen Press website during September 2008, I will contribute $1.00 to the Arbor Day Foundation.
My page is:
http://www.cerridwenpress.com/AuthorsBooks.asp?AuthorCode=TTha
According to the ADF website, every dollar received will plant a tree in one of our damaged national forests. One ebook equals one tree planted.
I hope all my friends and fans will take part. And if you’d like to support this effort further, join the Arbor Day Foundation (http://www.arborday.org/) and receive free trees to beautify your own piece of the planet.
Feel free to forward this email to your friends who enjoy trees…and reading. And let me know what you think of this effort at t_thackston@yahoo.com. I’ll report our success early in November at www.terithackston.blogspot.com
Thanks for your help!
