Puma Perl

Puma Perl is a poet and fiction writer who believes strongly in the transformative power of the creative arts. Her work has been published in cause & effect, MadSwirl, The Mom Egg ,Red Fez, Gloom Cupboard, and many other print and on-line publications. She has been a featured reader in various New York City venues. She is currently at work on her first book, which will be a series of linked poems based on lower east side life in the 1970's and 80's.

Christine Timm

Christine Timm is a NYC performance poet. She produces and co-hosts shows for the Bowery Poetry Club, like NYC College Slam, Love Poetry Hate Racism, and Bowery Kids and co-produces and co-hosts the lit series at Smalls Jazz Club (last Saturday of every month @ 5 – 7 PM). Christine has a PhD in English from the City University of NY and teaches poetry and writing fulltime at Westchester Community College. She also dances with Niall O'Leary's riverdancing group and composes and performs poetry/dance mashes around town.

Lori Williams

Lori Williams lives and works in NYC. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in various journals and anthologies, including Snow Monkey, Big City Lit, The Avatar Review, The New Zoo Poetry Review, The Smoking Poet, Melic Review, Antipatico, Miller's Pond, Wicked Alice and The Toronto Quarterly. She hopes to publish a book of her poetry one day soon.

Gil Fagiani

Gil Fagiani co-hosts the monthly reading of the Italian American Writers’ Association at the Cornelia Street Café, and is the Associate Editor of Feile-Festa. He has published two chapbooks: Crossing 116th Street: A Blanquito in El Barrio, and Grandpa’s Wine, as well as the book-length poetry collection, Rooks.

George Held

George Held has published widely, with work in journals such as CONFRONTATION, NOTRE DAME REVIEW, CONNECTICUT REVIEW, 5 AM, and HOME PLANET NEWS. He is the author of 13 collections of poetry, including, most recently, THE ART OF WRITING (Finishing Line, 2007), THE NEWS TODAY (Cervená Barva, 2008), and PHASED (Poets Wear Prada, 2008).

Susan Maurer

Susan Maurer’s By the Blue Light of the Morning Glory was published by Linear Arts, in2 with Mark Sonnenfeld by Marymark Press, and Dream Addict by Backwood Broadsides. Letterpress broadsides were done by Clamshell Press and The Center for Book Arts. Raptor Rhapsody was released by Poets Wear Prada in 2007. Her latest book Maerchen was recently published by Maverick Duck Press. Her poetry has been nominated four times for Pushcart, published in 14 countries, and has appeared in over 400 magazines and anthologies, including Off the Cuffs (Softskull Press), Help Yourself! (Autonomedia), Virgina Quarterly Review, Literary Imagination, Cross Connect and Orbis. She participated in a Rattapalax CD and posed and read for photographer Anna Siano's INSIDE-OUT Photography & Poetry Project showcased at Hoboken's 2006 Artists Studio Tour. She has read at Poets House, St. Marks’ Poetry Project, Bowery Poetry Club, on the Brooklyn Bridge with the Unbearables, as well as at the National Arts Club, Harvard Coop, Barnes and Noble Booksellers and the Susquehanna Art Museum among other venues.
