Hi All:

I'm very excited about my new novel called "Alaska Now: A Novel About Alaskan Oil, Native Corporations, Wildlife, Identity and Love." The reason I'm excited is because the novel is my way of contributing to the conservation efforts to save the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and the National Petroleum Reserve from the Bush Administration's efforts to open these pristine wildlife refuges to oil drilling. At the moment the "Yellow Billed Loon" , an endangered species, is delaying the drilling in the National Petroleum Reserve as now at least a public inquiry must be conducted.

The novel is an update to James Michener's saga about Alaska and as well as being a riveting romance and Alaska adventure gives information about the Alaska Native Claims Act which turned native Alaskans into CEO's of Corporations which have now become the driving force behind the Alaska economy. The novel is just coming through to print and will be available on amazon by July 12th. 2007. Hopefully conservation groups can use it as a fundraiser ordering wholesale from Booksurge direct at 866-308-6235. For all of you using POD to get a message out I highly recommend Booksurge as they produce a quality product at an affordable price, get the book to Amazon immediately, and allow an affordable retail price for readers.

I'm also very excited about moving to Qualicum Beach, B.C., a place that is very similar to Kihei (though slightly cooler in the winter months) but with the same miles of sandy beach, warm water, turquoise water and two islands offshore producing an exquisite view.

Aloha,

Rosemary,
