Exhaustion suffocates creativity...

Today was hot and horrid, as days go. Nothing particularly bad happened, just one of those days that beats you to a pulp and leaves you struggling for air.

When I got up this morning I had many things on my todolist for today. I figured I'd whip them off one by one and be done by noon, when I needed to start playing taxi driver for the kids, but that didn't happen. About an hour into my list the phone began to ring, life began to get in my way, and I suddenly realized God had a different plan for my day.

I gave in quickly and set out to solve a world of problems before I came back to my own set of 'to dos'.

And there they were, waiting for me. The fairies didn't come over and finish them off, and there were phone messages to answer on top of the earlier list.

One step at a time, I chugged them out, between trips, during lunch, and ultimately between calls this evening. Most of them are done, and I've decided I'm done for the day.

Did I get it all done? No - but tomorrow is another day (and I did get a chapter written on my book).
