Beyond the Summit is the first fiction about the Sherpas of Nepal .I used to lead treks to the Everest Base camp and know their culture well. The book has received 5 star reviews from everyone. All who read it say it's a movie waiting to be made because of the powerful love story between an American journalist and Sherpa guide, the exotic setting, the climbing scenes told through the eyes of the porters.

How do i bring this to the anttention fo anyone in the movie industry?

I can't answer your question about getting the story to a movie producer, unless your own publisher could help. But your book sounds terrific. What have been your contacts in CO? I live in Estes Park, used to climb the 14ers with my husband and friends, plus lesser CO mountains. Margaret G

What I'm going to do is send a copy of my book to a few movie producers after I get their addresses. A movie company took an option years ago on my life story but they they backed out because they said there wasn't any ending to the story. There is an ending now. I don't know what comnpany took the option as my publisher wouldn't tell me, but they paid ten thousand dollars for it, of which I only got half.

Now that there is an ending, I thought I'd just send out a few copies and see what happens. I don't know if there is a special way to do this, I do know they won't accept a manuscript as I did send one years ago and it came back unread.... Shirley
