It's hurricane season again (actually, the season began June 1), but it rarely gets interesting until at least August or so. We had a not-so-close encounter with Hurricane Dean, which was rumored to be headed Texas' way, but fortunately stayed south of us in Mexico...whew!

Eric and I were talking about evacuating, and he was surprised to learn that I wasn't sure that I would evacuate again (I'm the one who really pushed for evacuation during the Rita evacuation in 2005). Even though it's been almost 2 years since that incident, I'm just not ready to face hours upon hours of waiting in standing still traffic to get to an evacuation destination. I'm almost ready to say that I'll just tough it out at home the next go-round, but I still reserve the right to change my mind..LOL

At any rate, this hurricane "test" was a good reminder that we need to review our hurricane readiness, because the next time we may not be so lucky..:)

I'm running an updated version of my Online Business Disaster Plan article again for all of you who live in hurricane prone areas, and for those of you who just need to plan for when the unthinkable happens.
