Time for me to speak out about the war...

No, not the one overseas; but the one closer to home.

You know the one I mean—the army of stress, tension, anxiety and fear that invade our hearts. They march right in attempting to conquer and defeat.

They overtake when unexpected circumstances drop like bombs. My brother is now facing the effects of the big "R"-reorganizing of the company. But while he’s between jobs, his faith and renewed determination sparked me to write this.

Though he doesn’t know which employer will open their doors to him or when, he echoes the same affirmation David did. And when those little men armed with destructive weapons invade his heart, he fights back with the power of God’s Word:

The LORD is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?
When my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. (Psalm 27 1-3).

If you’re in the middle of an emotional attack and panic creeps in from all sides, pick up His weapon that defeats the enemy, brings sure victory and triumph every time.

I always say, the battles we face are won by His might. And the wars that we fear melt in His sight.

So where is your focus?? Your battle, or His victory?
