The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I have enjoyed bookmarket.ning.com so much. I believe I am on a sharp learning curve from reading so many of your comments about the numerous possibilities of online publishing, etc.

I understand why it is so important but I need to know how...

Would you share your comments with me on setting up an ezine and how you did it and give me any input you can on my two questions below:

I would like to know why some of you have chosen to create your e-zine in a text editor and used either monospaced or fixed width font for the text. How did you decide which to use?

Has anyone used the publishing platform Virtual Paper? If you have used it, are your pleased with it? If you use something similar, would you share with me the details.

Appreciate your input and help. Thanks.

If you have time and would like to read my column on counterfeiting here is the link:

I dropped out of sight for a few months because of a heavy workload. I am pleased to say that the bookstore is going well and we are making progress in our projects.

I would love for you to browse our bookstore website: www.greenhousekitap.info
and give me feedback about it. We have over 70T titles in stock at the bookstore but by no means have that amount uploaded on website yet.

We have just added the feature to comment on books. If you see a title you have read and would like to comment on, we'd appreciate it.

We hope soon to launch the e-mag that we have been working on for the past few months.
I want to thank BMF for their ideas, input and encouragement.

I have been publishing an ezine for the past 4 months through zinester.com. I find that each month I get better at it, or so my subscribers tell me. I went from 16 subscribers in May to 209 as of yesterday.

I am on an iMac and use NVU which is a text editor for that purpose (and webpages). I love it. I chose a fixed width font because then I know what it will look like (pretty much) in all email programs. I send out both a html version and a plain text version. The html version has a pic of me in it.

I have never used Virtual Paper. Sorry.

Originally I took a sample that zinester offered and used that. Then I looked at each and every newsletter I was receiving and adapted mine. I took a little from this one and a little from that one. Nothing copyrighted. Just setup or ideas for setup. the first two issues were basically hit or miss on what "I" liked. Now that the setup is done to my liking it is just a matter of adding the content each month.

Hope this helps you some.
