The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

This is my second Ning group and I'm still sorting out how to make my page look the way I want it to! So, hello from Utah, USA!

My personal endeavors include serving as Gifted Children Coordinator for my local chapter of Mensa, choreographing and singing when I can, and OF COURSE getting the word out about the lovely fantasy series I've written. The first book (The Chalice of Life --- check it out at www.chaliceoflife.com) was published earlier this year by a small Canadian press that, shortly thereafter, went through a big merger (which means the authors published around then were pretty much on their own for publicity). My local librarian tells me two things that are big right now are romance and inspirational fiction, and this, though at heart a fantasy adventure, has a bit of both. It's funny and exciting (at least, that's what the fan letters say) but ends on an extremely hopeful note. My hope is that it's the sort of book you that will give you a good read but leave you feeling good about yourself and optimistic about the future of humanity. I'm very happy to learn from parents that it's a book they feel OK giving to their pre-teens and teens, that it teaches them something about different cultures overcoming their differences to achieve a common goal --- plus they're enjoying it themselves. It's been compared to Harry Potter in reviews because of the magic and the pacing, but it doesn't get nearly as dark as the later HP books. I've managed to get orders from Australia, and I have some kind friends helping me get it translated into Japanese for circulation to publishers there. It's done well enough that the second book in the series, Tapestry of Enchantment, will go to editorial shortly. (You heard it here first!)
