What if?

What if?

What if I moved past the fear that dwells within,

and pressed toward the highest call?

What if I allowed myself to be stretched –

opposed to wondering about the next time I'll fall?

What if I believed that I could succeed?

What if I believed that I could take it?

Then God's love would shine through

and assure me as before – and

I'll finally believe that I can make it.

What if I wasn't afraid to make a mistake, or

move past the ones that I did?

Then I'd soar beyond compare,

fulfill my goals and dreams, and

never be defeated again.

What if I wasn't afraid to be exposed, and

tear down the walls in my life?

What if I wasn't afraid to cry?

Then I'd be healed from the wounds – of

my dark and lonely past

And I'll make

Simply because I tried!
