Bill and I met in the summer of 1962, while I was on summer vacation at my grandparent’s home in Florida. I was 12 and he was 16. He was the boy next door. I fell in love at first sight. I felt like I was in heaven that summer we met. He was a romantic, and even carved our initials in the bark of an old oak tree. I looked at the picture of the two of us and had to chuckle. What a precious keepsake.

In 1967 when I was 17 and Bill was 22 we realized puppy love was real. We were married on May 11, 1968. God’s been good to us. When I think I've loved this man for over 45 years, it astonishes me. You’re wondering how they managed to stay together for so long….and remain so love struck.

Our success story I believe is... that we have not only loved each other deeply but we have always communicated with one another. We have respected each others feelings, grown as individuals, as a couple, and as a family. Maybe a key ingredient to our longevity is we both know when to stop talking, take a breath… and listen.

Over the years we have been together we’ve had numerous photo albums that have captured moments in time, experiences that we may have forgotten. Like us, I think most families keep an assortment of mementos on their coffee table to share. Well today Bill showed me our latest one. He has been working on my web-site and surprised me with an electronic, Photo Album. I wanted to share this one with you. Go ahead open the book.

I'd love to hear what you think....Have a great day, Valerie

What a wonderful love story. My suggestion is to bottle and market this portion to the masses.

Tell me, how you keep this man being forever thoughtful...Just because it's Thursday? Not a birthday, anniversary, holiday. etc. You two should be hosting Married Couples Retreat Seminars, or are you doing it already? If not, you may have missed your calling.

I love the fact that you two are still in love, and after fourteen years of marriage, I can truly say...I want to be like you when I grow up! (Smile)
Keep the fires burning!

Continued blessings, and as always...

Happy Reading!
