The Book Attic Interviews Author Anjeanette L. Porter

Author Anjeanette Porter is from Bloomington, Indiana, US

Tell us what makes you proud to be a writer from your City, State or Country:
I am most proud to be a writer of the United States of America. I'm so happy to be able to share this information with everyone and I can't wait to see if the people here at www.thebookattic.us are interested in reading a unique and different Romance/Adventure novel which has a bit of Time Travel and a little bit of the paranormal elements intertwined into it. I'm just happy to be a United States Citizen and to have published my first book.

What or who inspired you to become a writer:
Well, my mom and her best friend Leona got me hooked on reading all different types of Romance novels when I was only 14 years old. The reason my mom got me hooked is because my reading grade in school was not as good as it should have been and so my mom's friend Leona let me have two or three of her novels all romance and my grade in reading went up and got better. I've been a Romance novel fan ever since than. What got me to write my own Romance novel was that I was moved away from the only friends I have ever made so my determination to complete one of my own books came to be. And 10 years later I finally finished writing it and had it published.

Tell us why you write the genre(s) that you write:
The reason I write romance is because I wish it were real these days in real life. I wish it still existed. My novel is a romance but it is fiction and though I base almost all my characters on people I've known in my life it is all make believe. I love the story line of my novel and the happy ending but I know it is so hard to find that true connection and romance with that special one and only these days. I got hooked on reading them at an early age and now I've read so many of them sometimes I wish real life could be so nice and simple and romantic.

What special projects are you working on now and what books do we have to look forward to in the future?
At this time I am not working on any special projects nor any books. I am taking time off of writing for a while. Maybe sometime soon I will start my next book but not sure when that is going to be.
