The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Now I'm writing articles for Hi-Brow Journals - And a great sales ranking too!

I'm pleased to say that I've been asked to contribute an article to 'The Journal of The Whitechapel Society 1888'. This is the journal of the prestigious 'Whitechapel Society 1888' that I found myself a member of soon after the release of the novel. I was approached by the editor when I contacted the journal about placing a book ad in their next issue. The article is called "Whodunnit?"..."I Dunno.", and I only wish that some of those here could get the chance to read it. Perhaps once it's been published in the journal I'll reproduce it here as it tells how I came to be interested in the Jack the Ripper case in the first place and also details exactly how the novel was born and developed. More information on The Whitechapel Society 1888 can be found at www.whitechapelsociety.com

While checking the book's performance on the Amazon.UK site today, I found that out of 281 Jack the Ripper books listed there, 'A Study in Red' is the 35th Best seller amongst them at the moment. In bookselling terms, that is just fantastic when one considers that some of those books have been around quite a bit longer than mine, and have receievd far more in terms of marketing support and media coverage. I'm over the moon, particularly as three days ago, it was at number 62, and I thought that was good!

Regards to all
