Your thoughts about yourself determine your reality. Action follows thoughts. So If you think you're klutzy or a loser or sick, then that's just what you'll become. In fact, you'll look for evidence to support your negative beliefs about yourself and your negative self-talk will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.



Here's the good news. Change your thoughts about yourself and your reality will change. What would happen if you put the phrase "in the past" in front of your negative self-talk? In the past I was selfish. In the past I wasn't able to enjoy exercising. In the past I found it difficult to learn new things. Just by adding the qualifier "in the past", you'd start to change your beliefs and soon your reality would change too.



Have faith in your ability to change, try something different to improve the quality of your life and you will reap the rewards. Give up on yourself before you've given yourself a chance to have a happier life and rest assured you'll find plenty of things to be unhappy about. It's all a matter of belief.



What do you currently belief about yourself? Are those actually your beliefs or are they things that you've been told by others? Do you want to continue to hold on to those beliefs and the life they produce? If not, what are you willing to do about it? Are you willing to put those negative labels "in the past" and to choose another way to view yourself? If you are, your life will improve. If you're not, you'll just continue to repeat the same patterns that have been causing you discomfort. Your beliefs create your reality. What would you like to believe about yourself? What actions are you willing to take to make your positive beliefs a reality?


What you believe you become!
