breaking out of the maze of SOCIAL MEDIA

Hi all, because I've heard so many authors who're frustrated with the circular path of social media I've decided to create an all fan based e-newsletter. It will be for mystery/thriller/suspense writers only and the first issue will go out in September 2010.

All Mystery! e-newsletter has got several neat things going for it: 1) it's got cool graphics in color,2) new author releases with blurbs, book cover and reviews in each issue, 3) a list of authors with their websites for more books, and 4) it's FREE to the fans as well as permission based--they get an initial issue with invite to sign up for more---or I don't bother them again.

The data base of fans will come from the authors who must provide 20 each. I'm charging $20.00 per author (cheap) until the end of this year---'cause it's going to take some time to get this up and running. I'm hoping to keep it about $40.00 per year per author so it will stay cheap! Not doing this for a living---been there done that. I'm using Constant Contact and I'm only interested in covering my costs and spreading the word about good reads.
