Building on the right foundation

When we look all around us everything seems to be falling to pieces; the economy, families and nations. This is so because we are moving away from the sure foundation; that sure foundation is Jesus Christ. Psalm 11:3, states “if the foundations be destroyed; what can the righteous do?” We are doom for destruction if we turn away from the biblical foundations upon which every nation and family were built and that foundation is Jesus Christ.

We have remove the foundation of godliness, honesty, respect, truth, righteousness and justice and have replaced them with sensuality, pleasure, wickedness, debauchery, injustice and immorality. But we ought to be careful; 1 Corinthians 3:10b-11 states, “But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

The true believers of Christ must return to the foundation upon which the church was established; the Gospel of Jesus Christ; it must be preached in season and out of season; whether it is acceptable or unacceptable. We must be willing to stand up for the truth of the Gospel even when others are turning away from it. We must contend for the faith and build thereupon because only the foundation of Jesus Christ will last. “Every man works shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be declared by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it.” (1 Corinthians 3:13).

I encourage my friends to build on the right foundation; that sure foundation which is Jesus Christ.
