Discovering One’s Self

We all, each and every one of us, travel this journey called life yet the masses do so living lives which has been so powerfully expressed by Thoreau when he said “most men live lives of quiet desperation.” Although I knew that was me, what I came to realize was that’s indeed most of us. Thoreau’s observation begs a question: Why would anyone want to live a life of quiet desperation? Many of us are fond of quoting great minds and great thinkers, but I wonder how many of us act on what we quote?
