Fashionistas from the 1830's

I'm taking a break from fretting over what's going to happen to my Leisure Book contracts to do a little actual writerly research for my Brava Novella.

In every age, the goal of fashion is the same. How can we best attract a member of the opposite sex? Sometimes, fashion takes matters to extremes and I'm finding a few in my 1830's setting for IMPROPER GENTLEMEN.
