Press Release for: I Do, by Doris Trueheart
Tallahassee, FL, November 26, 2008:

Have you ever wondered about your purpose in life? This book is for those seeking an intimate relationship with God. Using the Book of Deuteronomy, her own life journey and moving and thought provoking poetry, this book is loaded with inspiration to get you out of the rut of circling in your own wilderness and get you encouraged to enter your Promised Land of spiritual intimacy with and rest in God.

Here is the first book review posted:
Doris Trueheart is a woman in search of self. She discovers through the trials and tribulations of a life that is sometimes plagued with sickness, pain and betrayal; a strength that can only be obtained through prayer and supplication while maintaining an unwavering faith in her belief that God will make a way.
I Do is a collection of short stories, poetry and song lyrics that Ms. Trueheart uses to take you on a journey through the highs and lows of her life; as she strives to become transparent within God's will. She opens up about her painful childhood, and how those issues bled over into her adult life. She openly discusses issues of emotional, physical and drug abuse; and how through her faith in God and her willingness to be His servant and do His will she was healed.
Ms. Trueheart is to be commended for being true to her faith by following the will of God and writing this book. This book is an honest look into the life of a woman who can truly say that she has been “Redeemed”.
I would recommend this book to and for anyone who is struggling with addictions of any type, abuse, family and faith.

She graduated with honors from her high school, Miami Killian Senior High, and she was a Silver Knight Award Honoree in Dade County in the field of mathematics in 1972. She attended Kenyon College, Miami Dade Community College, and then Florida International University, where she obtained her BS in Mathematics. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University, where she obtained a MBA. She worked as a teacher with the Dade County School Board and then with BellSouth, now AT&T, as an engineering specialist and project manager. She moved from Miami to Tallahassee on April 30, 2003, where she began working with the State of Florida Public Service Commission, Leon County School Board and ParkerFinch Management. She also works alongside Apostle Darrin Rich in building Deeper Life Ministries in Tallahassee, Florida, where she serves as co-pastor.

She recently published her first novel, I Do, which is her autobiography. In this book, as she studies the Book of Deuteronomy, she also explores her own wilderness journey out of rejection, abandonment, and domestic violence into the hands of God. She readies herself to fight to obtain her Promised Land. It is a journey from hopelessness to full assurance and from disbelief to an unconquerable faith in God. Her story is told through her conversations with Moses and reflections of her life in short stories and expressions of her emotions in poetry. It is her desire that everyone still held captive in their Egypt or still wandering in the wilderness of life will be led to a Promised Land with the strength, burning desire, and faith to take it by force.
