I Walk
By Cathy Hodgson

I try to deny this feeling inside
I would prefer it to walk away
It tags along like a kitten gave milk
Meowing with melancholy sad eyes

It tares my being, strips my good sense
Persuades like that hidden chocolate
Like the tree in the garden it radiates
Come, have of this fruit it will be good

I walk, my head is turned
Like the wife of Saul
I feel I am a pillow of salt piled high
Dust in the wind lost without you

The clouds gather the sun hides
My dreamers mind sweeps to possible
Yet I resign my self to the drone
Not to act on the drama
