Q: There are many books about discipline out there. What makes yours different than the others?

A: For several reasons:
• I've walked the talk for over 4 decades and I am highly accomplished because I am disciplined
• My formula for success is based on case studies from hundreds of life coaching sessions and dozens of my Fortune 5000 and Global 2000 case studies I've facilitated. It's the proof not the hype.
• I utilize a very simple 5-step process

Q: Many people start a project with good intentions, but then they sidetrack and never finish. Why is this so prevalent?

A: Most people lack discipline. They also do not know how to effectively set and manage goals:
• They don't plan properly
• They don't set milestones. This is the key success factor - set daily milestones for each goal and focus on those small steps. Forget about your goal - if you focus on your daily milestones the goals will take care of themselves.
• They set goals on momentous occasions.
• They're not structured by establishing and adhering to a daily to-do list and an efficient routine which helps them focus on their priorities.

Q: How easy or difficult is discipline to master?

A: Very. The process is simple. The execution is difficult but then nothing worthwhile comes easy.

Q: Are self-imposed deadlines effective?

A: Yes, however you should have realistic deadlines with extra time allotted for emergencies (just in case). You should strive to beat your due dates. It's important not to miss thise dates. Failure is not an option. You don't want to get used to failure.

Q: What is the one lesson you hope readers will learn from your book?

A: That learning how to be disciplined is not rocket-science but it is difficult to acquire. The process to be disciplined is a life-altering experience. Once acquired you will:
• Possess a never enough mentality
• Be confident
• Wake up with a purpose each morning
• Live life with urgency
• Have wisdom
• Always be motivated
• Manage sleep optimally
• Manage health effectively

Q: What is on the horizon for Harris Kern?

A: I am 60 years old and I've had some great accomplishments - that's what life is all about. As far as I know I will be on this planet just one time so why not go out accomplishing more. I WILL ACCOMPLISH UNTIL THE DAY I DIE. Everyone should strive to leave a legacy for their loved ones:
• Although I've written over 40 books I will continue to write - 2 more are slated to be published next year.
• I will continue to exercise 7 days a week as I've done for the past 4 decades.
• I will continue to live a balanced lifestyle.
• I will ALWAYS strive for perfection.

In other words continue to live each day with a purpose.
