Look Good & Inspire Others to Act

Whether to use free or paid press release distribution services

After you’ve written a press release, now you want someone to read it! Right? The next step will be to distribute it. After all, that’s why you wrote the press release—to announce news about your company to the world!

Publishing press or news releases is an effective way to boost your ranking in the search engines and drive traffic to your site. The links created by publishing a press release can continue to send visitors to your site for months, even years.

You’ll find there are two main ways to distribute press releases, also called PRs: free and paid distribution services.

Free services include PR Log, 24-7 Press Release, and Free Press Release.

Paid services include PRWeb, PR Newswire, and Business Wire.

Often, press release distribution sites offer both free release and premium (paid) release options. Many will distribute the press release at no charge, and then charge a premium (usually about $50 for sending to blogs, search engine optimizers, and other specific markets).

Look for future blog posts on this topic!
