Meeting the God of America project - update

Good morning all.

I have been busier lately than I ever have. I am being completely serious. The "Meeting the God of America" project has literally exploded far beyond what I had thought it would. And keeping up with it all has been a tremendous amount of work, but one I have thoroughly enjoyed.

The response and inquiries from those wishing to take part in adding to the book keeps me hopping everyday. If you are a part of this project already, thank you so much. If you are not, I have a word for you. Because of the large and growing interest, not only from those wishing to be included directly, but also form those wanting to be in the loop, media outlets, and those seeking to create controversy, I am extending the deadline for expressing interest.

I encourage you strongly to take a look at the web page added last night to www.christianschaal.com. The link to "Meeting the God of America" is located on the top of the home page. On the project page, you will find a brief introduction, a PDF of requirements, a PDF of Q&A (actually the answers), and some statistics.

I originally set April 30, 2009 as the deadline for expressing you interest and willingness to be published in this book. The deadline is now May 31, 2009. I really would like to have all the work in by that date, but am willing to allow this extension only becuase of the strong interest. I have a feeling this project will become more than just a book. It has grown legs and traveled throughout the country in a very short time.

I will still need to do a huge amount of work once your pieces are submitted. So, honestly, I hope you will jump in sooner than later.

Most of your questions are answered on the website, however if you have others, please do ask.

Those who have already committed are part of a contributors distribution list. Only committed contributors are added to that list. Some have asked to be included so they could trail the progress. I have denied all such requests. this is a serious project and will be manged well.
