More Free Contests

When I entered the November Novel writing site this week, I found a list of free contests. If you missed the November contest and would like to try writing a 50,000 word book in a different month, the contest will be held in June and September as well as November of next year. You can google search for the links.

The Amazon Break Through Novel contest is going to be open for submissions in mid January. I've entered that with no expectation of winning, but to be a contestant gets me a free proof from Create Space.

April Script Frenzy is coming if you write plays and want to work on one for a month.

Anthonomy has a free contest for a 1500 word short story but I just found out a few days ago and the deadline is Monday the 13th. The story has to be about a pet you have now or had growing up or an animal encounter. I emailed my story. The prizes are 10 signed by author books to give away from author Julia Romp. She has just published her new nonfiction book A Friend Like Ben. She is the judge along with her son George.
