'Murder, Mayhem and Mexico' Released in Paperback

Following hot on the heels of 'Dracula Doesn't Live Here Anymore' (which has now received three 5 star reviews in 24 hours), Eternal Press have now released my award nominated short story trilogy 'Murder, Mayhem and Mexico' in paperback. The original e-book edition of the trilogy finshed 9th in the 2007 Preditors & Editors awards (Anthology category) and I'm delighted that it is now available in paperback, priced at a very affordable $3.95 at Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/Murder-Mayhem-Mexico-Brian-Porter/dp/1926640500/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239224086&sr=1-11

The following review is from CK2S Kwips & Kritiques:

Mexico is a beautiful country full of unsolved mysteries where entire civilizations have disappeared and ancient ruins stand hauntingly vacant. The perfect backdrop for three vignettes in a place rich in custom and history.

First, “The Devil You Know” takes us on a journey with detective Juan Morales spanning fifteen years. A much loved and admired priest was found barely alive at the foot of the bell tower of his church where six choir and altar boys have gone missing. A lovely journalist is desperate to find out what really happened at Church of the Virgin Light all those years ago.

A short story rich in characters with a fully developed plot that will leave you surprised at the end. Juan Morales has a touching tale to tell.

Next in “Compliments of the Boss”, a travel consultant leaves her luxury hotel and finds herself victim of a vicious kidnapping. Fearful that she’s been abducted by the serial rapist and murderer plaguing Jalisco, Angelina Cordero plots against her kidnapper with unique results.

In few words, Brian L. Porter gives us a rare glimpse into the beauty of Puerto Vallarta. But there is another side to that beauty in this gripping crime story.

Last, in “Mexican Therapy” we meet Harry, an English author licking his wounds after a divorce in the small, picturesque Mexican village. A charming young girl shares the gift of healing with an introduction to a special new friend that will change his life.

The perfect heartening ending to a trilogy set in a country full of its own mysteries.

Brian L. Porter charms us with his obvious love of Mexico, finding a way to ensnare us into his world with three short stories that leave us hungry for more.
