Only The Strong Survive

Life is like playing your favorite sport. It’s not how well you played the game, but how you finished it. Weak players never get far in the game, only those that are stronger than their opponent advance ahead.

How long you’ve lived is not the issue, but what contributions you made in your life while here on earth. Success doesn’t always mean great financial wealth or the fine cars that you drive, but who’s life you had an impact on. Did your life teach others to be respectful? To love when at times you may not receive love in return. Did your life show that hard work do pay off, if you don’t give up? To the world these are weak attributes to have, but to those that are looking for a mentor, it shows great strength in your character as a person.

What will your legacy be? Will it be that you fell apart every time adversity came into your life? Will it be that because of your laziness and uncaring attitude, you had to live a life of poverty? What will your life tell about you?

Only the strong see the silver lining through tragedy. Only the strong believe that poverty and where they come from does not define them as a person. Only the strong come out fighting when someone says, “They can’t do it,” only to show them that they can persevere through anything. They see victory in their path, when the weak only see gloom and doom. They can turn a bad situation around and find the good in it. They see the glass half full, instead of half empty.

The strong will find ways through self-motivation to fulfill their dreams, while the weak set around complaining and blaming others for their failures and misfortunes. Strength comes from within. And a strong person uses it to his or her advantage to seek and conquer opportunties. A weak person has to wear t-shirts that reads, "too bless to be stressed or tennis shoes with the logo, Just do it" to be motivated. A strong person motivates themselves through hard work, determination, and ambition. They believe that if one door closes another one has to open. Failure is not an option for them.

The weak will steal and kill to get what they want out of life; not realizing that it will change the path of their life. The strong live by the sweat of their brows, knowing that what they earn will last longer than what they take from others.

Giving up may seem like the easiest thing to do when you are trying to fulfill your dreams. People will try to get in your way. They will tell you that you are wasting your time and that no one in your family ever made anything out of their life. These commits will not come from strangers, but from the people that you live and hang out with everyday. Never let anyone kill your dreams. What sounds foolish to them will be the very thing that will make you the first millionaire in your family.

Only the strong survive. No matter what is thrown at them they are able to stand the test of time. When their dreams don’t come true over night, they regroup and come up with another plan on how to fulfill those dreams. They use negative talk from others as their motivational tool, because they realize that people that are going nowhere doesn’t want you to go anywhere either.

When it’s all said and done and you have fulfilled your destiny. You will know through hard work and determination that the race is not given to the swift, neither to the strong, but to the one that will endure until the end. Only the strong survive.
