Web Sites Insights: Basics for Building Your Web Presence

For publishing professionals, having a Web presence is quickly becoming a “must have,” and CWIP’s February program promises to help you explore what it takes to meet that requirement. Whether building your own freelance business or taking on projects to build up a publishing portfolio, having a personal Web site will set you apart from the competition.

Join CWIP on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 to gain a broad overview of what to expect when building a personal Web site—the process, preparation, pitfalls, and best practices.

Speakers Michael Tanimura of Silver Image Creative, Inc. and Susan Marx of Susan Marx Design will share their insights regarding the costs, time commitment, and organizational skills necessary to develop a site that meets your objectives. Note: this program will not address technical details of how to write code or utilize Web development software.

When: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 6:00–8:30 p.m.
Where: Willis (formerly Sears) Tower 233 South Wacker Drive, 33rd Floor, Chicago, IL

Register by Monday, February 15, 2010!
