The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Hey everyone-

My publishers have had my non fiction book for about 4 months. I was waiting for the proofs to come through and then the editor wrote me stating I need written permissions from all the people mentioned in my book. An impossible task, considering I haven;t seen any of these people for 30 years. They also said if couldn't obtain the permission I would have to re-write my book and prove that all people in in the book are fictious which contradicts the point of the story. All the names and places in my book were already changed. I am so close to getting this book out and now it looks like I am at a crossroads which is very annoying.

Does anyone know anything about this or has had same experience while trying to get a book to print.

Thanks-

Andrew Summers.
