Prelude to the New Paradigm of Favor

An "Accelerated Season of Favor" is the best description that can be given of Amos 9:13. It is God's promise that the grueling process of labor will be so compressed that the planted seed will become closer to the gathered harvest. The long span of time usually lodged between your sowing and reaping will become subject to the fast-paced timing of God's intervention in your life. It's the very least that can be expected.

The promise of Amos 9:13 offers a new paradigm of faith and expectation, where old disappointments give way to new realities of expedience and abundant fruitfulness. The old paradigm of religiosity and "system" dependence isn't sustainable anymore. The old paradigms of "doing church" aren't sustainable either. We have arrived at a time when the sludge-like flow of ecclesiastical progress some mistake for Kingdom expansion can't be endured. The harvest demands more from us than that mind-set will ever allow. Today's frequently embraced paradigm and language of "political correctness" dilutes preaching down to a distasteful Pablum, ministry to an ineffective placebo, and will ultimately produce an anemic church. The Amos 9:13 season, however, will be accompanied by prophetic voices whose message will intimidate spiritual darkness and push back against encroaching moral compromise. So rather than "doing church," we begin to "be" the church of the Lord Jesus in the earth today.

Be listening for voices of those crying in the wilderness saying, "Prepare ye the way of The Lord." Be on the lookout for firebrand preachers who are given more to self-sacrifice than self-preservation. A generation of determined young people is accepting the call to world-changing ministry, and in anticipation of it, they are giving themselves to the "back side of the desert" preparation. If a burning bush of revival happens to ignite while they are there, they'll remove their sandals of worldly dependence and - like Moses - stand on the holy ground of God's sovereignty. With Jehovah on their side, they will lead nations into the promised land of unprecedented harvest.

Indeed, that's the least we can expect, and it won't be the first time. It's happened before.

Scripture verifies that though the season of plowing and sowing can be grievously long, once the atmosphere is charged with the presence of God's favor, results come quickly.
