Release of my first Christian Children's Storybook

I have just written a child’s book named " Lady Flatterley"

As a nurse, I have been inspired by my grandchildren to write books, especially books on the wonders of nature whether it be fictional or non-fictional. I would like to see children grow up to appreciate God’s creation that is so unmistakably displayed at the dawn of each new day. I feel there are so many distractions out in this world that can lead the child from learning about the important values in life. To her, her main focus in writing Christian books is to help the child to understand and appreciate God for who He is.

I am continuing to work actively in the nursing profession while embarking on this new adventure in writing. I work with patients that are afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease along with holding support groups for the caregiver. Being a caregiver at one time myself, I know the emotional, physical and mental heartaches that the caregiver encounters on a daily basis.

This storybook, Lady Flatterley, takes children through the metaphorical journey of a caterpillar as it evolves into a butterfly. During the process, the caterpillar faces some of the fears that plague children and adults alike – the fear of failure and the fear of change.

I have chosen to use one of “God’s little miracles in nature” – the caterpillar – to illustrate my message in a way that children can readily understand. I want them to know that even though they may be shy or fearful of change, nothing should stand in the way of their dreams. The fear of failure is often a roadblock preventing people from achieving their goals, and Wagner wants children to learn at an early age to overcome that fear.

Change is difficult, but Lady Flatterley gently gives her young audience the beginning journey of her transformation when she builds a cocoon. This starts a chain of events in her life that will eventually allow her dream of becoming a butterfly come true – which was God’s plan all along.

If you go the RSS side (right side) of my blog, just scroll down on the books until you come to Lady Flatterley. If you click on that page, it will bring you to her page. It is ready for the asking. You can buy the book on Outskirts Press or Amazon, com, but if you will look at the prices, the pricing will be cheaper on my site. I have PayPal for your convenience and security in purchasing.

I feel this would make a wonderful stocking gift for a child this Christmas. We are living in a changing world and are experiencing it right before our own eyes. Sometimes change is good and it gives us a new insight. Change was good for Lady Flatterley. We all have that butterfly in each of us just wanting to burst out. We all have dreams in our lives. The sky is the limit and we must make an effort to reach that dream.
