The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I received positive responses from two potential publishers this week. Both are interested in my mss. and included some advice for re-writes, "par for the course." Some of the synthesized comments included:

- Plot too complicated
- Plot too simple
- Too much dialogue
- Not enough dialogue
- Too many characters
- Needs more characters
- Moves too quickly from one scene to the next
- Moves too slowly from one scene to the next
- Not enough background on main characters
- Too much background on main characters

And so on. Having dealt with and worked as an editor for years, I sometimes just shake my head and chuckle. Where DO they dig these people up? :)
