 So what is it that you might find intriguing?

After retiring from serving twenty years in the army, I found myself working in a job in Law Enforcement. One of the first things that intrigued me in my new career was gangs. I hate to use the word fascinating, but I was bemused and intrigued by many of their actions. I found myself wanting to learn more about this secret life with its many rules, codes and utter disregard for the law. I soon got into a position in the jail that required me to learn, meet and talk with many gang members, so I went to conferences, lectures and studied as much about these individuals as I could to try and figure them out. The week of May 28^th, 2013 I went to San Diego California for a big gang conference and met Rene “Boxer” Enriquez. ‘Boxer’ is what we call a Moniker or street name. Boxer is serving a life sentence and was a high ranking member of The Mexican Mafia. He is directly or indirectly responsible for approximately twenty six murders and has what is called a ‘Green Light’ on him. A green light means he can be killed by any gang member if they have the opportunity, but he is constantly moved around to different locations in the prison system. Boxer has given up his life as a Mexican Mafia gang member and If ever there was a story of Redemption, he has it to tell. Boxer now helps law enforcement and has written two books as well. One thing I like to do in my stories is to introduce gangs to readers who have no idea what they are about. In Armored Redemption, I introduced readers to basic Southern Hispanic gangs and Crips. In Outlaw Salvation, I introduced an Outlaw Motorcycle gang and I’m currently writing a book called Backslide. In Backslide, you will be introduced and utterly amazed at some things white supremacists and skinheads believe or will do to further their cause. I hope these edgy Christian fiction stories will make you laugh, love, and enjoy my twisted sense of humor while getting a positive message out of all the chaos. After graduating high school and working for a while, he joined the army and his world travels began. He also married his wife Deena and raised a family of three kids while traveling around the world.
