Is it just me, or does it really SUCK to be a financially strapped author? I think impercuniosity just sucks like an imploding black hole. I have a few hours paid work scheduled for tomorrow (I work casually as a law clerk), because tragically (for me) my writing won't pay my bills. If I did have lots of money, I'd pay my bills on time and get my mortgage paid off. I wouldn't be hoovering Bolivian marching powder up my hooter, that's for sure. Still, it seems people with trust funds like the GNP of some countries three years running seem to avoid getting the penalties ordinary plebs would end up with. Or am I just being paranoid? Perhaps Being So Unfathomably Vacuous You Shit Everybody should be enacted as a law against the penal code.

Well, it's getting late here (Australia), and I've had a big day, and have lots on my mind. Got a book launch to get happening for when my newest, 'Abernethy', gets back from the printer. One of the libraries I've been dealing with who've suggested school appearances sent me a release today for my okay. I would have been happier had they not said I write exclusively for the young adult market. Had to get them to change it. I consider myself an adult satirist normally, but 'Abernethy' is a branch into young adult for me.

Until next time, my fellow scribes.
