The Hidden Lives of Taxi Drivers: A question of knowledge by Ruth H Finnegan

Ruth H Finnegan the author of THE HIDDEN LIVES OF TAXI DRIVERS: A question of knowledge has a unique narration style that gets everyone to think, while answering some questions along the way and sharing information and tidbits through experience.

We all use taxis these days and it's hard to find someone who hasn't used it at some point or heard about it. But there were times when taxis did not exist. Hard as it is to picture such a scenario it was a reality for generations gone by, so the author takes us back in day and time to tell the history and inception of the taxis we see today.

She explains the life of taxi drivers in her own style, by narrating their tales and takes us on a ride along with her to Cambridge, Birmingham, etc. In a way it makes us think how we treat these really important people in the hustle and bustle of modern life, forgetting humanity and what it entails.

The author's style is entertaining, interesting and thought provoking, while sharing detailed insight and information on years gone by, to the current era where we all are running around with no time to stand-by and acknowledge neighbours and friends! Take a ride along with Ruth and peek into the lives of taxi drivers who are our fellow human beings, with thoughts, dreams, lives of their own and whatnot!
