The Rainbow's End-Amish Fiction With A Twist

As promised I'm putting the first chapter of the second book in my Nurse Hal Among The Amish series in my blogs. Read my blog at booksbyfaycom.blogspot.com for the first chapter entry or on my book store weebly site blog. Because of the length I won't enter the chapter here.

Title of this book is The Rainbow's End. Since I make my own covers this book's cover is my front yard and hayfield facing south on a stormy day. At the end of the rain, a rainbow appeared in the south sky between my two apple trees. Being a nature lover I took a picture. Never dreaming I'd see a day I'd be looking through my pictures for possible book covers. What I didn't want to do was put a person on my Amish covers even if they were models pretending to be Amish, because Amish people don't believe in having their picture taken. Now I've gone through my pictures and have a stack for future books covers which I will put buggies in.

When the sun came out, the apple trees were darkened by a cloud and the yard and hayfield. Across the road was brightly sunny and the rainbow end appeared to be touching the cornfield. I put an Amish buggy on the road and added a better rainbow in the sky since the one in my picture wasn't bright enough. With the help of Create Space Publishing cover creator, I had my cover.

As for the story, The Rainbow's End is Amish fiction with a twist. Nurse Hallie Lindstrom is English. She's trying to fit into and become accepted by the Amish community. This book finds Nurse Hal getting used to being a part of the Lapp family. Some farmers came to John's house to build a medical clinic for her so she could do her part to contribute to the Amish community. John Lapp purposed but so far she hasn't heard any marriage plans. Her boss at the Home Health Agency thinks John might offer for Hal move in with his family under the pretense of running the health clinic and never marry her. While Hal is trying to understand just what John's plans are for her, she runs into trouble with Stella Strutt again. Stella doesn't want this red haired, English woman in jeans that drives a copper colored car to be near their community. Hal finds out Stella is telling everyone to stay away from the clinic so Hal will go away.

If you want to know what happens to Nurse Hal in this book you can purchase the paperbacks from my bookstore http://www.booksbyfaybookstore.weebly.com or Amazon. The ebook versions can be bought from the Kindle store, B&N's Nook store and Smashwords has five of my ebooks for sale.

I want to thank MyEntre.Net for mentioning my first chapter blog posts. It helps coming from MyEntre.Net when they mention my posts so more people know about my books.

The rains keep coming each day so we enjoy what sunshine we get. No chance of making hay yet this week. There's a possibility that I might be going to Arkansas on a vacation the end of next week. I'm waiting to see about that yet since if we were to get a few days in a row any time soon I'll be in the hayfield.
