The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

The air has turned chilly here in the Las Vegas desert and that's got me thinking about the holidays. This week's issue incorporates a bit of that theme with ideas on gift and thanks giving. I also share a short piece on my experience with Web browsers.

We're into the first week of NaNoWriMo and it's going well. I've got about 10k words in a new novel. Very exciting. It bothers me that the NaNoWriMo Website has been overwhelmed since the start of the month, but I guess we all should be writing instead of socializing on their forums anyway. If you're participating, keep typing away!

I spoke to my friend, author Victoria Laurie, about Novel Writing Month. Victoria is now writing 4-5 books a year for her three different series. She told me that how she accomplishes that level production is by writing about 2000 words a day (and walking 5 miles a day). So, getting into the daily writing habit that comes with NaNo is an excellent way to begin building our chops to become prolific authors, just like her!

Keep Moving Forward!

~Gregory
