Whose World is this? Commerce is the exchange or buying and selling of commodities on a large scale involving transportation from place to place. In this world we live in almost anything is for sell including you. Whole countries will go to war before you finish reading this article over oil that is buried deep in the soil of the Earth. Whole forest will be cut down and destroyed for profit to provide mankind with materials necessary for human existence. Hoards of aquatic life will be taken from the oceans and streams for profit before you can blink. Commerce is this truly what makes the world go around? Who owns this world? Who owns the air that we breathe? Who owns the oceans and who owns the life in the oceans? Who owns the forest and the trees? Who owns the oil and the soil it dwells in? This whole world has been deceived into thinking that mankind actually owns everything that it sells to one another. The Holy Word of God strictly declares “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) We are living in a world where people die from heat stroke because they can’t afford to purchase extra electricity to run their air conditioners. We are living in the world who countries die from hunger, don’t have clean water, and girls die because they don’t have proper hygiene equipment for there menstrual cycles. How can we as human beings put so much emphasis on currency that cause harm to one another intentionally and unintentionally? The sad reality is this system of commerce will fail us as it has made a mockery of many in the past. Whole nations have been destroyed by economic failures and great depressions are no stranger.
“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6:7) It is a sad reality that I as well as all others who strongly oppose this system of commerce have no choice but to operate in this web of pain. Even this gospel itself has felt the blow of this sting because it cost money for buildings, missionary journeys, bibles, food and many other expenditures. Our good has been corrupted by the wily hands of currency no wonder God has spoken “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.” (Isaiah 64:6) Thank God as human beings that we have not been trapped here in this world were people die on hospital floors because they can’t afford healthcare. I dream of the day when Isaiah 55:1 is a reality “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” Man has truly attempted to rob God of this earth and sell it to mankind to satisfy its own desires. Now commerce has unfortunately become a necessity in life. Look at the trails of depressed human beings, the millions of children abandoned or murdered because their parents simply couldn’t afford them. Look at the war that drugs has waged on our people all over the world to satisfy the desire for currency. Masses of people crying “This can’t be life.”
This can’t be life were colors are just the absence of the light rays reflected from the sun. If this really was life then your absence of light rays shouldn’t deny you equal treatment, jobs, or citizenship? Who really gave mankind the authority to determine who is a foreigner when God said “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:9-10) We are all living in this world trying to take to the sky on a natural high but the highest a world without Christ can take us is to the grave. We are living in a world were Jesus is validated for asking “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26) What is your soul worth? Are you willing to sell it for self indulgent pleasures, or self preservation? I suggest that you give your soul to the one who created it which is the Almighty God. The one who said “Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.” (Isaiah 40:21-25)
Commerce is the exchange or buying and selling of commodities on a large scale involving transportation from place to place. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19) We were bought by the blood of Christ and the end of this destructive life the true salvation from this corrupted world is found in a great invitation and the acceptance is free of charge. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Please don’t neglect such great salvation, such a great invitation from the Almighty God. Please remember “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1-3) –Glory Be To God
