I wish I could draw like that. I can only draw stick people. :D My publisher provided the illustrator, and I feel doubly blessed because he is wicked talented. The character is modeled after my son, and the likeness is uncanny.
I love your art too. I'm really looking forward to reading your book!
I live in Uncasville, CT so if you ever want to get together to do a joint author book signing, pleaaaaaase let me know! I love going to schools and libraries as well .. my books are for 8-15 year olds. I think we would work well together, not stepping on each other's literary toes because our books are for different ages. My email is grizlegirl@sbcglobal.net if you're interested!!
Congrats on your book! It looks wonderful and the cover is very catchy, which is great for sales!!
Congrats on your book!! Looks like you are really rolling!!
Can you believe we basically have the same website format.

P.S. Did you host that booksigning party or your pubisher?
Dear Teresa,
It is my pleasure to meet you. Sorry you have sent me two messages and I am just responding, I hope you won't take it as a slight. It is just sometimes it takes me longer to read all the e-mails, but I am glad you took the time to chat with me. I hope you will stay in touch, and if I don't respond to you right away, hold on...I'm coming. Paris.
Congrats on your book! I would love to chat with you in more detail about your journey to publish your children's book. The artwork on the cover looks great! Who is your illustrator?
Hey Jacquie:
I only know one illustrator--an independent author from Austin, Texas who does some incredible work. His name is Marcello Milteer, author of the children's book--Karate Cat.
He and I met via various blogs and he is a great guy. Click his name above and contact him. Tell him Bobby Ozuna sent you...
Let me know if you need anything else.

Very nice to meet you Jacquie...
If you ever wish to collaborate marketing ideas, book promotion, graphic design work (like blog banners, etc)...hit me up. If I have the information you need or know someone who can help you along your journey...I will surely do all I can.
Thanks so much for generously sharing helpful tips and ideas about publishing and sources. I do appreciate that. I'm having to learn all over again about multi-tasking. Had it down pat and then got a bit lazy and distracted. But am getting "my groove" back.
Thanks for the invitation. I'll slip over to your simonsaysbooks site. I have five children's books printed on CD (Fat Cat and Gray Mouse series) that are targeted for the beginning reader, five-and-six year olds. Unfortunately, the publisher went out of business.I taught basic skills to primary grade students and also kindergarteners. I've been looking around for a publisher for this little series. Not asking you--but thought to share as we have something in common. A pix of Fat Cat and his cohort Gray Mouse are on the "books" page of my website. www.patriciaharrington.com
