Happy Valentine’s Day! Live More, Laugh Much, Love Often!!!

"I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition."

The tour was simplified. Between the time B. Dalton told me to stop by with my books and the time I got there, - I have done signings and presentations there in the past -they had closed.

I am going to be in Placerville and Tahoe this October. Just spoke with my son today and we are planning a week together with family. Direct flight from here to Sacto., but a long drive at night to reach my brother's before going on to Tahoe.

How's it going with your books?

Oh wow! For 5 years I lived in Citrus Heights about a mile west of Sunrise Mall. That was the most recent. But I spent most of my years (till now) sporadically in San Francisco and area, even living in Santa Clara for about a year. My roommate's parents lived in San Jose, actually south, about a mile north of Almaden Valley.

About The Ka, if you need any information for your book, please don't hesitate to ask. I did a ton of research for the Ka. I can't wait for yours. When do you anticipate finishing? -- I know, we should never ask a writer that question. But this is exciting to know someone else is writing such a book.

Originally from Sacramento? Where did you live in Sacramento? Where do you live now?

My 3rd novel, River Bones, is set in the Sacramento River Delta. you know those towns all along the river: Hood, Courtland, Locke,Walnut Grove, Ryde, Isleton, Rio Vista. All are in my book. Oh, and the book won a huge award.

Also, I wrote a paranormal Egyptian suspense called "The Ka." Have you written about Egypt?

Oh yes, I'm about to leave on a tour on Wednesday. If I don't get back to you right away, I'm not ignoring you, okay?

Nice to make contact,
Mary
