Caren,  after reviewing your website and previewing your book, I hit "Like" and added you as a friend on Facebook.  I'm not quite sure how to do all this, but I think this is the website for you to hit "Like" for 'Joy in the Mourning"  at bottom of this page -   http://www.friesenpress.com/bookstore/title/119734000000314966/  and it is also availableto preview on Amazon.com @  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=Esther+Joy+Grusing+Hunter

Caren, It looks like you are into a number of things of which I am either not acquainted or unsure of the benefits. For example, what is Smashwords and how does it work? Also, I have not yet gone with amazon.com as it seems to me that it will yield me little to no monetary benefit. Did you self-publish by establishing your own company (which is what I did) or go the ebook/publish on demand route?

Hallo Caren,

Thank you for your friendly message. I am brand new to this site.

I've been to your website & 'liked' it. What a beautiful covershot!

If you wish to like mine, please could you use the www.fireflylegacy.com site (or both)? Thank you.

As for reviews, please let me know which format is preferred? I generally send 1 or 2 chapters (pdf) to interested writers, or a full hardcopy (with a request to pass the book along to a school, library, senior or child) if requested. You might wonder why I include seniors above; it's because the series was partly written for uplifting their role in the community. And I've found that they really enjoy them too.

best wishes,

Liz

I connected with you on FB :)  However, I don't have the time right now to do any reviews, thanks for thinking of me and reaching out!

Hi Caren,

I'd love to trade reviews. The website page for my book is http://www.selfhelpforcats.com and my FB page is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Who-Moved-My-Mouse/135056686545391. There's a free portion of my first chapter on my website.

What's your experience been with Smashwords? I'm looking to use them to Kindle-ize my first book, which was self-published.

Hi Caren:

I would be interested in doing that. I'm finishing up a review for a friend of mine. Another person who wanted to trade review hasn't sent me her book yet. So I should have some time to read yours over this coming weekend. If you read Tim's book, my book isn't as sports heavy. It is more about journalism than sports - even though sports is the backdrop to it all. Though sports fans would be interested in it, I think non sports fans would like it - and the people I know that have read it and are not sports fans enjoyed it and learned a lot about the job. It is also a quick read. You wouldn't have to read all the game stories and attached articles to some of the chapters - even though some of the articles are worth reading. So you can email me your book if you want and I can email you a PDF of mine. Thanks.

Care,

I briefly read some of your writing and enjoyed what I found, and could provide a short review. Although I did not grow up owning a dog, I have been able to relate to your writing. Where would you like me to post the review?
