I wanted to share this with you Dianne:) I hope it fits and you like:) (I sent it to the Red Cross years ago, saying they could have it for free, they sent it back... Go figure...

~Bare Your Cross~

Your face
Is the face of an Angel
A little tired
And a whole lot lost

I see
All the goodness inside you
So please let me help you!
Can I bare your cross?

(Chorus)
Don't know
Don't know
What you're talking bout!
Don't know, don't know
What you're talking bout!
Don't know, don't know
What you're talking bout!

Can I bare your cross?

I see
All the goodness inside you
I sense
What the world don't know
BG: What the world don't know
You're afraid
To show any weakness
And I'm afraid
To see you blow
BG: Don't want to see you go!!!

I only want
To help with your burden!
But you deny, deny, deny it so!!!!
BG: Deny it so........

When everything's not fine
We all need a hand some times
So please let me help you!

Can I bare your cross?
(Repeat Chorus)

~My Silence~

If life could be thought out
Before it was lived
If everything you desired
Was mine to give
If mistakes are truly things
Which belong to the past
If second times around
Are the ones that last
If hopes were little bricks
What could we build?
If your heart was a cup
Could it ever be filled?
If love and understanding
Are one in the same
If you thought we could work
Would you call out
My name?
If the future
Was now
And dreams
Reality
When you held out your arms
Would they be reaching
For me?
And if no words
Was a language
Only the souls
Could understand
Precious love
Please tell me
Would you long to hear
My Silence

Hi, Dianne,
Thanks for your comment. We are coming up on eight years here in Ohio, and I've loved all eight of them. (Originally from Long Island, NY). Where in the state did you live?
I am soon to 'bite the bullet,' and start a blog. I'd love to feature your book or at least include a link. If you'd like me to review it there, and on Amazon, send me a copy. Since I will be focusing on such issues as sexual integrity and the well-being of women in the 21st Century, I think your book will fit nicely. Let me know your thoughts.
Blessings!

Hi Dianne,
Bless you for your great work. As someone working in personal growth publishing for many years, I know that the need for books such as yours is still great. How wonderful that Hay House is your publisher; they'll do a good job of getting your message of hope to readers who really need it. From quite some time the New Age readership has been somewhat reluctant to look at our shadow selves and the shadows of others with clear thinking. I'm thankful for your book and will spread the word about it to others, especially to my former client, David Emerald, author of a groundbreaking book on transforming victimhood to creatorship. It's called The Power of TED*: The Empowerment Dynamic, and is endorsed by Stephen Karpman, PhD (originator of the Drama Triangle so often used to educate victims of domestic violence about the cyclical nature of the problem). More at PowerofTED.com.

My own most recent book, Sacred Visitations, shares spiritual experiences that helped me through a different set of hardships. I included in the book some of the basics I learned about contemplating such experiences to reap the deepest level of personal growth from them (More at SacredVisitations.com). All the best to you, Ceci

Hello Dianne

Hay House is an excellent publisher who I have considered in the past. Once I self publish an addition or two, I might consider contacting a publisher to take over if needed. I have people around me who can and are offering to help with many aspects of the process so I would like to try a home grown approach first, Also it leaves me with final control over my work which is very important to me since it is a very experiential process, little details are very important.

I work with a lot of abused people. Their pain is so strong and how they hold it is often like thorns or pins in their body. Many cannot look themselves in the eye in the mirror when we start out. It is totally terrifying for them. I work with and can intimately feel the pain of others and ways the pain cripples them.

One of my goals with the guides I will be coming out with is to interactively guide participants too and beyond the point where they can look themselves in the eye and say " (their name) I love you."

Keep up your good work.

Hi Dianne, thanks for the friendship. I used to have birds years ago - parakeets & lovebirds - so I was never able to have a cat until 2 years ago. Your book sounds wonderful and would be a comfort to domestic violence victims. I'll check it out!
