From one dog lover to another! My Steve and Jim salute yours. Your book sounds charming, as do your characters. You sure know the difference between preaching and teaching.

Further back than my vanity will let me share, I spent a summer in a little village called San Giovanni, which is near Bellagio. What a stunning place!

Hugs,

thanks for your comments. I've never heard of those network marketing. What exactly do they do to help in the marketing of your book. Can you check my website and let me know if anything is wrong with it, as I'm not getting many sales using it... thanks Shirley www.shirleydicks.net

Ciao Judith --

Thanks for your comment on my page. I love the Lake Como area and have visited there several times during my trips to Italy. Good luck with your book -- looks fun!

Hi Judith, your book sounds great....I'd love to be able to write children's books but I never can come up with something that hasn't already been done....

Marketing is hard for me as well and since my new book has been out it's not sold very well either..not sure why. It may be my website but not sure. www.amotherstorment.com

I haven't done any booksignings with it yet as it's ah\\hard for me to get out to do them any more. Im disabled and it's hard to walk much and with heart failure it's hard to carry anything. So I'm trying to sell them on the websites but guess I"ll have to come up with something else....

Good to meet you. Shirley

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the advice. I know children's books are a tough market unless your a known name, or a pop star, etc...etc.. then it doesn't matter if the book is good or not because the name sells the product... but I'm going to keep plugging because the book is good and deserves at least a look at. I've had the book professionally critiqued by reputable persons and they all agree it's fresh and needs to go out....whoever said it was easy? Also I'm donating 50% of the proceeds to charity to help children and animals. I'll check out your web site to look for solutions. Talk to later!

Best regards
Judith

Hello Judith,

Great to hear from you. Very few agents represent children's books (I don't) because the advances and royalty rates are so small for most kids books--and it's a tough market (highly competitive). There are a few agents out there who represent children's books but you have to look very hard. I've got a lot of information on my blog about the Writing Life--and it's searchable. Hope that helps. Plus check out my Right-Writing.com site. I've got a whole children's writer area on that site--and thousands of pages of information--not just me but other writers.

Best wishes,

Terry

Hi Romanus,

I sent you an email today and look forward to discussing the possibilities of creating a series for the dogs. I can always use all the help I can get to be more effective with my book presentations. The Amazing Adventures is just one series. I also have a detective series in the works featuring the dogs as intergalactic private investigators.

Look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks
Judith

Hi Judith,

I don't help promote Children's books -- I can consult with you so that you can be more effective. As for creating a series for your character - my production company does that. If you are interested, please email me at Romanus@kickstartguy.com

Have a great day,
Romanus
