Wow! I just now read your last message. Sorry--I have not been on this site in so long! Anything new with that Rochester B &N?

Thanks, Michelle! Your books sound absolutely wonderful... love the positive reflection of them. Our young kids need to know they are special and can live any dream they choose. With my book I hope to promote hope and determination no matter what your challenge in life. Thanks for the invitation!

Hi Michelle: Thanks for adding me as a friend. One of the list of things on my writing agenda is putting out a children's book based on a true adventure by my beagle, Solstice (see pic). My novel scehdule is pretty hectic, but I hope to make time next year to work on the outline. Going to manipulate photos for the art to go with the text. I'm sure it will be a challenge, since I've been writing for the adult Mystery/Suspense/Thriller market. If you have the time, check me (obxwriter) out on the ning sister site of Crimespace. I have excerpts from my novels there. Would appreciate any response.

Smiles,
Doug

Thanks for the friend invite. I'm still working on my page but my genre is sci fi fantasy -- but like you, I try to build in ideas that will help people examine their lives and feel good about themselves. It sounds like your book is performing a valuable service!

Thank you for answering my questions, Michelle. I really do appreciate that. I will spend some time on that site. Since I already have my poems organized in a book format already, it shouldn't be too difficult to upload. I will take your advice & get John's book. Oh yes, I would love it if you could email me that book. You can send it to CorkyGirl7@aol.com - and just let me know if I owe you anything for it. Thanks again for your info, I truly appreciate it!

Hello Michelle! My husband is from Rochester! We visit all the time. I believe that his brother & sister in law used to teach at Oakland University. It's a small world. I'm a poet & considering Lulu for publication. I'd love to chat with you about it!

Sounds good! I'm thinking about calling the B&N in Troy because I've been told by readers they bought my book there. Any advice on how/who to approach about book signings?

That sounds like a great idea! I pretty much live across the street from that B& N--my book is not stocked there--only on their website.

I haven't had any book signings yet--just a few newspaper articles/reviews. Do u arrange your own signings and supply books?
