No wonder your invitation atracted me ... I'm a Chicago escapee (it snows up there) and also a Capricorn. It appears that cross-promotion is the key today so I look forward to working with you too.

Morgan: Thanks for having me as part of your networks.

May I ask your advice on finding a publisher? I have already published three books, two self-done through Trafford, one by a small publisher here in Ottawa, ON. Both of them do virtually no book promotion, which is frustrating.

Now I have completed a book that I am very proud of and for which I want a *Real* publisher. It it titled 'Life of Phi: Beauty and the Golden Ratio" and is a novel with the mathematical concept of Phi (the golden ratio) as the protagonist and various famous mathematicians as characters. I would categorize it as popular mathematics.

Any advice on how to proceed with a publisher search?

Thanks, and sincerely,

Bill

Hi, Morgan. Your invitation is most appreciated. As soon as I finish this "chat" I will mozy over to your web sites. What a fascinating combination of authors you suggest to give the flavor of your book. I, too, wold be interested in knowing if it was self-published or not. (I'm including POD in this phrase.) How do you find the process of promoting it going, regardless of how it was published? If you haven't visited my web site, give it a try if so inclined: www.hughrosen.com and /or look my novel, "Silent Battlefieds" up on Amazon. It's a iUniverse book. Anyway, good luck with your ongoing writing endeavors and I hipe we can communicate further in the future. Hugh

Thank you for inviting me to be a friend. I lived in Chicago for 10 years, near U. of Chicago. My husband and I had many adventures there. I was social worker at 61st and Cottage Grove, then Altgeld Gardens. Hope you have great success with your novel.

Hi Morgan,
What a great idea to promote your business! I've added myself on the Book Place. The more publishers there are in the world, the easier it will be for us all to be published! I hope it goes well :)

Hi Morgan,
Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. Sorry if I am a bit late replying, I have been in Germany for just over a week.
Your book sounds great. If I get over to the States, Chicago would most definitely be one of my places to visit.
Thanks again.

Hi Morgan. Your book sounds interesting. I'm not a Chicagoan, but my books are set there, too. It's quite a city.
