Something About Me and My Book:
I am a retired international business executive. My career allowed me the luxury of traveling the world and engaging many different cultures, beliefs, and ideas. I took the time to interview and meet thousands of religious and spiritual leaders who employ our most common belief systems. In this pursuit, I always asked their assumptions that supported the beliefs they followed. What I discovered was amazing! Now, finally, it all makes sense. I thought it worthy to share these insights and discoveries with the rest of the world through a book. We have created a real paradox for ourselves in the world and now it can be unraveled and understood by simply looking closely at the assumptions. I have included the latest in theoretical physics and biology regarding what we know about how we “be” as “beings” and how this works perfectly with our beliefs. My assumption is we all desire peace. Knowing the assumptions you make is the first step towards achieving this goal.

James, I look forward to reading your book. I tackle beliefs every day with my clients and having another resource that may help raise their awareness will be a blessing. My assumption is there is evidence of good in everything if you only look for it! Again, I look forward to your book.
Blessings and Peace!

Linton, Thanks for the heads up. Indeed self publishing is an experience. Some info: Having argued with myself over the notion I might be suffering from self-delusion ....I am embarking on a distribution strategy to arm myself with some suceess for negotiating with a publisher.

First, I have negotiated great transaction rates for webpage purchases. Contracted with LighteningSource to print he books (blocks of 500) and about to contract with a company to do fullfillment at USD $1.9/book + shipping. I have a contract in hand to sign with Baker and Taylor to service the indepent book stores (375 start up) -90 days delay in payment.

The end game is to set up an more automated system to sell books on my webpage and accomdate the independent book stores. All this with the ambition to accomodate real purchase volume with minimum maintenance.

Once i sell enough books on my own, then I will negotiate with the publishers to take on the book and (maybe) promote it.

Finding bliss,
James Taylor

ANOTHER Tarheel writer! Must be something in the water down there. :-)

James, it looks like you might be able to either profit by or contribute to my new Self Publishing group here on BMN.
Please take a look, we're trying to build it into a resource for writers who prefer to be their own publisher.

Ted,

Ahhh....a kindred spirit. Thanks for the observation. I just completed a re-write after a 4th qtr galley release and some great feedback. Planning to release in March. I actually believe the book will have world impact. If you will send me your email address I will drop you a note when it is released and available.

Thank you very much for you interest.

Sincere regards,
James Taylor

Hello –
How’s the writing going? Just thought I’d pass along
some websites you might be interested in.
http://www.joafulkerson.com where you can read the
first chapter of FOR LOVE OF TEDDY. This is the
story of a high school senior who takes a stand against drug
dealers…and WINS. It’s the first of several I plan to write to
reach out to at risk kids and teens who might not have
anywhere else to turn when faced with crises in their lives.

No, I live in Estes Park, CO, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. We're at about 7500 ft. elevation. Your book sounds very interesting. Have you heard of Paramahansa Yogananda? MG
